R3 Pro Firmware Update Guide(Fix Network Issue)

Updated on Dec 23, 2025

Thank you for using the GardePro Trail Camera Link 1.0 (R3 Pro + Hub).

Some customers may experience an issue where the camera cannot connect to the internet after pairing with the Hub. This happens when the home router uses a non-192.x.x.x IP network segment.

We have released a firmware update (V9.2.138) that fully supports all network segments.

Because your camera is currently unable to go online, the OTA update cannot be applied.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience - the update must be installed manually using an SD card. Please follow the steps below to update your camera.

Before You Start

If your R3 Pro is already paired with the Hub and added in the app, please remove it from the app first.

If it has never been paired before, you can skip this step.

How to Remove the Camera from the App

  1. In the GardePro Mobile App, go to My Cameras.

  2. Tap your camera → enter the Status page.

  3. Tap the More button in the Status bar.

  4. Select Remove Camera.

Step 1 — Download the Firmware

Please save the file to your computer.

The firmware file will be named ROM_APP_900A-G000000R3P-4922_2138.img.

If your computer shows a warning saying the file “may harm your device,” you can safely ignore it.

This file is an official GardePro firmware package used only for camera updates, and it is completely safe.

Step 2 — Prepare the Camera

  1. Insert the SD card into the camera. Make sure the card is fully seated in the slot.
  2. Turn the camera switch to ON.
  3. Format the SD card in the camera. This ensures the card is clean and ready for the firmware file.
  4. After formatting is complete, connect the camera to your computer using a USB cable.

Step 3 — Copy the Firmware File

  1. On your computer, open the camera’s storage (SD card).

  2. Copy the downloaded ROM_APP_900A-G000000R3P-4922_2138.img file directly into the SD card.

    1. Note: The .img file cannot be opened — this is normal.

    2. Just copy or move it to the SD card.

     3. Once the file has been copied, close the camera and unplug the USB cable.

Step 4 — Start Firmware Upgrade

  1. Press and hold the camera MENU button.

  2. While holding MENU, move the power switch from OFF → ON.

  3. The screen will display, and the camera will automatically run the firmware upgrade.

Step 5 — Confirm Firmware Version

  1. After the upgrade, Go to MENU → Settings → Version.

  2. Confirm the version is: V9.2.138.

Step 6 — Restore Factory Settings

After the upgrade, please perform a factory reset:

  1. Go to MENU → Settings → Factory Reset.

  2. Confirm the reset.

Step 7 — Pair the Camera with the Hub Again

  1. In the app, go to My CamerasAdd Your Camera.

  2. Follow the pairing instructions.

  3. On the camera: MENU → Settings → Wireless Pair → OK

  4. The camera will restart automatically during pairing.

  5. After it reboots, the app will show the paired camera list.

  6. Tap Finish to complete the setup.

Step 8 — Test the Camera Connection

  1. In My Cameras, tap the camera → go to Status.

  2. Tap the More button → select Take a Photo.

  3. If you receive a photo after a moment, the internet connection is working properly.
