Smart Capture Feature Guide

Overview

Smart Capture is an AI-powered feature that allows you to control which photos and videos your camera uploads.

With Smart Capture enabled, you can choose specific species, and the camera will only upload captures that match your selection.

This helps you:

• Receive only relevant photos and videos
• Reduce unnecessary notifications
• Significantly save cellular data usage

Any captures that do not match your selected species will still be safely stored on the SD card, but will not be uploaded.

How It Works

When Smart Capture is turned on:

• The camera captures photos or videos as usual
• GardePro AI analyzes the content directly on the camera and identifies the species
• If the detected species matches your selected targets → the file is uploaded
• If not → the file is saved locally on the SD card only

Additional notes:

• Smart Capture is based on AI species recognition
• Only selected species will trigger uploads
• Non-matching captures do not consume your data plan

Supported Species

Smart Capture currently supports the following 8 species:

• Buck
• Doe
• Bear
• Turkey
• Coyote
• Wild Boar
• Human
• Vehicle

More species may be added in future updates.

How to Set Up Smart Capture

Smart Capture can only be configured in the mobile app. And the camera must be activated and connected to apply settings.

  Step 1: Enter Smart Capture Settings

• Go to app camera Settings
• Find Smart Capture under Settings
• Tap to enter

Step 2: Enable Smart Capture

• Turn on the Smart Capture switch
• By default, the feature is OFF (all captures will be uploaded)

Step 3: Select Target Species

• After enabling, a list of supported species will appear
• Select one or more species (multi-select supported)

Available options:Buck / Doe / Bear / Turkey / Coyote / Wild Boar / Human / Vehicle

⚠️ Note:

• You must select at least one species
• Otherwise, the Apply button will remain disabled

Step 4: Apply Settings

• Tap Apply to save your selection
• After applying, you will automatically return to the Settings list
• Smart Capture will display “X selected” to show how many species are currently selected

Once enabled:

• Only selected species → uploaded via cellular
• Other captures → stored locally on SD card

• X66 Pro Max
• X66 2.0 Pro (Coming Soon)
• X66 3.0 Pro (Coming Soon)

Important Notes

• AI recognition is currently a Beta feature
• Accuracy is not 100% and may vary depending on: Lighting conditions (day or infrared night)
  • Distance to the subject
  • Shooting angle
  • Background complexity
  • Partial visibility of animals
