How long can 8 AA batteries last in photo-only mode?
Battery life depends greatly on several factors, including the number of triggers, shooting frequency, temperature, and whether night vision is used.
In photo-only mode (no video and no time-lapse), the approximate performance is:
- Daytime only: Up to around 30,000 photos (4MP)
- Completely dark environment (night IR always active): Around 7,900 photos
- Low-light environment: Around 13,000 photos
- Environment with some ambient light: Around 18,000 photos
Actual battery performance may vary depending on the installation environment, wildlife activity level, trigger frequency, temperature, and other operating conditions.
