What is Dual-Core Technology?

Dual-Core Technology allows your camera to upload captured photos or videos while continuing to detect motion and capture new events at the same time.

Traditional trail cameras may temporarily pause motion detection or delay new captures while transferring files. With Dual-Core Technology, the camera can handle image capture and file transmission simultaneously, helping ensure important wildlife moments are not missed.

How does Dual-Core Technology work?

The camera uses a dual-core processing system to efficiently manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Instead of stopping motion detection during file transfers, Dual-Core Technology intelligently allocates processing resources between image capture, data processing, uploading, and other camera operations.

This allows the camera to:

  • Upload photos or videos
  • Continue monitoring for new motion
  • Capture new events while previous files are being transferred

Do I need to enable Dual-Core Technology?

No.

Dual-Core Technology is enabled automatically and does not have an ON/OFF switch.

The camera automatically uses this function whenever uploading and motion detection happen at the same time.

Which cameras support Dual-Core Technology?

Dual-Core Technology is currently supported on:

  • GardePro X66 3.0 Ultra Cellular Trail Camera
  • GardePro E9 3.0 Pro Home WiFi Trail Camera
  • GardePro R3 2.0 Pro Long Range WiFi Trail Camera

What problem does Dual-Core Technology solve?

Without Dual-Core Technology, some cameras may experience missed captures when they are busy transferring files.

Dual-Core Technology helps reduce missed moments by allowing the camera to:

  • Continue detecting motion during uploads
  • Capture new wildlife activity immediately
  • Provide more reliable monitoring in high-activity areas

It is especially useful when multiple animals appear within a short period of time.

Important Notes

Although Dual-Core Technology allows the camera to capture new events while uploading, we do not recommend setting extremely short Time Lapse intervals for both photos and videos.

For example, if the camera is configured to:

  • Capture photos/videos continuously
  • Upload every file immediately
  • Use very short Time Lapse intervals

The camera may remain active almost continuously, causing significantly higher power consumption.

For better battery performance, we recommend using normal monitoring settings and selecting a Time Lapse interval based on your actual monitoring needs.
