Why Does My Camera Fail to Turn On and Make a Buzzing Sound?

This issue is mainly seen on cameras powered by AA batteries. In most cases, it is caused by unstable battery power or poor battery contact, rather than a camera failure.

Common causes include

• Mixing old and new batteries;
• Using batteries from different brands or with different power levels;
• Incorrect battery installation or poor contact inside the battery compartment.

This issue usually does not damage the camera. Please try the following steps:

Replace all batteries

• Install a complete set of brand-new batteries from the same brand and model.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.

Check battery installation

Make sure all batteries are installed correctly according to the positive (+) and negative (-) markings inside the battery compartment.

Clean the battery contacts

• Check the battery terminals for dust, dirt, or oxidation.
• Clean them with a dry cloth, then reinstall the batteries and try again.
