Why Do Video Numbers Mismatch and Videos Fail to Play?

If you notice that the index numbers displayed on the video information bar (e.g., 1 to 19) no longer match your actual file numbers after a certain point, this is due to the unique video encoding format used by our trail cameras.

Some default media players may not fully support this encoding format, which can cause file index misalignment or unexpected playback errors.

What You Can Do:
To ensure accurate file numbering and smooth playback, you can use PotPlayer to view your videos on a computer:

Download PotPlayer: Download and install the software for free from its official website (https://potplayer.daum.net/).

Play Videos: Open your camera's video files using PotPlayer.

PotPlayer includes superior codec support for trail camera files, which correctly processes both the video encoding and the information bar displays.
