Does a lower firmware version number indicate a firmware downgrade?

No. A lower-looking firmware version number does not necessarily mean the firmware is older or that the update is a downgrade.

For GardePro firmware versions, the final set of digits represents the build number. A higher build number indicates a newer firmware release within the same firmware branch.

Example:

  • 6.2.149 > 6.2.66
  • Firmware 6.2.149 is newer than 6.2.66, so installing it is an upgrade, not a downgrade.

If you experience any issues after updating the firmware, please provide details about the symptoms, such as:

  • Abnormal triggering
  • Recording issues
  • Other unexpected behavior

Please note that firmware rollback to older versions is not supported. Older firmware versions may contain previously fixed issues, so we recommend keeping your camera updated with the latest firmware version for the best performance and stability.
