How does WiFi Direct Connection work?

WiFi Direct Connection uses Bluetooth for pairing and the camera's built-in WiFi hotspot for data transfer.

The connection process works as follows:

1. Bluetooth Pairing

When setting up the camera, the app uses Bluetooth to:

  • Find the nearby camera
  • Establish a secure connection between the app and the specific camera
  • Complete the initial pairing process

Bluetooth is only used for pairing and binding. It is not used for transferring photos or videos.

2. Camera WiFi Connection

After pairing, the camera creates its own WiFi hotspot (AP), and your phone connects directly to this WiFi network.

WiFi is responsible for:

  • Viewing photos and videos
  • Downloading original files
  • On-Site Viewing (Live)
  • Changing camera settings
