How Should I Set the “Overexposure Suppression” Level?

The default setting works well for most scenes. However, depending on the camera’s installation position and lighting conditions, you can adjust the Overexposure Suppression level to improve image quality.

How to Adjust the Level

Use the following guidelines:

  • Image looks too dark → Lower the Overexposure Suppression level.
  • Image looks too bright or overexposed → Increase the Overexposure Suppression level.

You can adjust the setting separately for Daytime and Night.

For example, if strong sunlight frequently enters the camera’s field of view and causes some areas of the image to appear too bright, try increasing the level from Low → Medium or Medium → High. If the image becomes too dark after increasing the level, lower it again.

Tip: For better image quality, avoid installing the camera where branches, leaves, or other objects frequently block the lens. Obstructions can affect exposure and overall image quality.
